Daniel N. Barlow is the Operations Officer of CRS where he focuses on the firm's strategy, business development, finance, systems and organization.
Prior to joining CRS in 2010, Dan was a Principal with Valor Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm. During his tenure with Valor, Dan's responsibilities spanned traditional and non-traditional roles including investment prospect generation, selection, analysis, structuring, execution and active portfolio management as well as the development of internal infrastructure and fund operations.
Prior to joining Valor in 2001, Dan served on the investment and portfolio management team of MG Capital, a lower middle market private equity sponsor. During his tenure with MG Capital, Dan worked on acquisition teams executing transactions in the electronic connector and auto parts industries. He served in various operational roles at MG Capital portfolio companies including as the Managing Director of the European Division of Connector Service Corporation.
Dan is formerly a Captain with the 110th Fighter Wing, Michigan Air National Guard where he served as Troop Commander for the 110th Engineering Squadron during its deployment to Saudi Arabia in support of the second Gulf War. He is an Eagle Scout and is active in his community through the Guild Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago, a 100 year old institution serving the city's youth. During his 13 years in private equity, Dan served on several corporate boards.
Dan holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
